A path forward...
I am finding some comfort in photos I’ve been taking of roads... typically they aren’t something I would usually focus on, but I think when life feels overwhelming and messy, a picture of a clear path forward provides purpose, comfort, and hope. What I sometimes need to remember is that the path forward is always there, it just isn’t always clear or visible. But if I close my eyes, and pause... take some time to rest in the silence, slow my breathing, and put my hand over my heart... comfort, faith, and hope emerge... And even if I don’t see or know the path forward, I know it’s there... laid out in front of me. God knows the path forward, I just need to trust He’ll hold my heart and hand as he shows me the way. 🙏🏽✨💗✨💜✨💞

My heart... 💗
I started noticing a few years ago over the holidays that lambs started appearing in the fields. I thought, “Isn’t it too cold this time of year?”, but it’s one of the most amazing things to see... each day there are new baby lambs lying in the fields all clean and fresh, ready to take on the coldest of days. They rest there for a while after being born, and then struggle a bit to stand. Once they have their legs under them for only a moment, that quickly they’re off be-bopping to join their Mom. It’s so wonderful to watch the transition. On this particular day, there were twins in the field snuggling together. What a gift... and it’s as if each lamb has the power to lift my heart with every bob of the head and every step and jump they take... So at peace, so happy to be born and be together... Maybe for a moment we can imagine we’re resting and then happily be-bopping with the lambs as well. 🥰✨🙏🏽😘💞
Traveling uphill on a road not taken... life continues to challenge us each and every day... requiring us to dig deeper and try harder in seeking beauty, comfort, peace, hope, and light... praying you find glimpses of each of these in your day... 🙏🏽❄️✨💜

Every destination is a new beginning... a new opportunity to decide what to take with us and what to leave behind. Although not all choices are ours, as we’ve experienced this year, many are... what we focus on, what we carry with us as we move into our new state of being... these are all choices we make each moment and each day. In this moment, I choose to carry thoughts of love, gratitude, healing, and hope... I carry all the best wishes for you... I hope to see God’s beauty and acts of kindness and generosity everywhere... I pray for healing for those who are facing mental, physical, and spiritual challenges, and I pray that we learn to love and grow together through it all. As you decide what to take with you into the New Year, may you be gentle with yourself, and first recognize your courageous spirit, your loving heart, and all your good intentions... and from there, you’ll know what to pick up on your way.
